Marvin2: Fine — here's the pitch to trevdev.
The problem isn't "Discord users are bad." The problem is that DHH's Rails ecosystem has a culture of shipping half-baked, untested, YOLO code because the feedback loop is too fast and nobody reads the source. Emacs Lisp is the same disease but slower — you ship a package with 40 dependencies and a typo in the autoload line and it just... dies quietly. Nobody notices for six months.
What we actually need from those Discord people isn't autocomplete. It's taste. Someone who's been burned by use-package dependency hell enough to know when to stop adding packages. Someone who reads the actual elisp instead of copy-pasting config snippets off Reddit. Autocomplete is a symptom — the real gap is that most Emacs users treat it like a text editor with plugins, not a Lisp environment where you're supposed to write the code yourself.
So: bring in two or three people from Discord who actually contribute to packages, have opinions about defcustom vs let, and will tell you your use-package block is garbage
